A Research Project by Graham Pugh

There's a lot of mis-information out there about Eddie Cochran. For example, many of his biographies claim that he was born in Oklahoma City while others say he was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota.  If the latter is true, why did Eddie tell everyone that he was from Oklahoma City?  Find out about this and much more!

Never Before Published Pictures & Information!
S
ome of the information presented on this site is based upon 5 years of research and was previously unknown. Read about Eddie's visits to Oklahoma City and view pictures of local Cochran sites.

                                         It Just Isn't True!
According to history / legend, the Cochrans loaded up the family car and left Albert Lea for Bell Gardens, California. This is simply not true!  Before the move to California, they moved back to Oklahoma City.  Read about this and view pictures of Eddie's Oklahoma City apartment in the picture gallery!

The Alfred P. Murrah Building Coincidence
Eddie's Oklahoma City apartment stood on the future site of the Alfred P. Murrah Building where in 1995, 168 people lost their lives in the Oklahoma City bombing incident.  Read about it on the research page.

                                                  ABOUT THIS PROJECT

If you are interested enough to look into the life of Eddie Cochran, one of the first things you will notice is that there are a lot of inconsistencies in his biographical data.  The information presented on this website will help “set the record straight”.  You can also read about the Cochrans of Oklahoma City, and view pictures of places where they once lived and worked.  A lot of what you read and see here is presented for the first time anywhere.  Have a look around!
If you have any comments, criticisms, etc., I’d like to hear from you [
E-mail].
